Drive anticipation and enjoyment of UEFA Euro 2016 football matches on ITV.
What I did:
Led ITV main channel’s social coverage, working in partnership with ITV Sport and Copa90.
Provided build-up of fixtures using eye-catching visuals, Twitter polls and gifs. Also worked with Copa90 to push The Fans Daily, a daily round-up of action from the fan’s perspective, which was aired on the ITV Hub. Lastly, I shared live in-match reaction from every single match of the tournament across ITV social channels.
To avoid clashing with ITV Sport’s own social coverage, in-match content was focussed on being fun and relatable, within the wider ITV family world, by adding an ITV entertainment show 'reaction gif' after a funny / big moment from a match. These clips were all edited in real-time and published within 5-10 minutes of the moment taking place.
